Hi, I am Jason Blevins, MA
I am a Professional Counselor Associate trained in EMDR, working with individuals who feel stuck in patterns they don’t fully understand—whether that shows up as stress, anger, anxiety, burnout, or challenges in relationships.
Many of the people I work with are used to handling things on their own. On the outside, they may look like they have it together, but internally they feel on edge, disconnected, or worn down.
My approach is direct, grounded, and focused on helping you understand what is actually driving your reactions—not just managing symptoms on the surface. I use evidence-based practices, including EMDR, to help clients process what they’ve been carrying and develop more effective ways of responding to life.
I also have significant experience working with first responders and veterans. As a combat veteran myself, I understand the culture, the expectations, and the difficulty of slowing down or asking for help. At the same time, my work is not limited to that population—I work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds who are looking for real, lasting change.
I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
If you’re ready to better understand what’s been driving your reactions and start responding differently, therapy can be a place to begin that process.
What to expect
A direct and grounded approach focused on real change
Clear understanding of what is driving your reactions
Tools to manage stress, anger, and anxiety more effectively
Work that goes beyond surface level coping
A pace that keeps you engaged without becoming overwhelmed
Increased control in how you respond in relationships and daily life
Starting therapy can feel uncertain, especially if you are used to handling things on your own.
In our work together, you can expect a direct and grounded approach. We will not spend time talking in circles. Instead, we will focus on understanding what is driving your reactions and working toward meaningful, lasting change.
Sessions are collaborative and paced in a way that keeps you engaged without becoming overwhelmed. At times, the work can be challenging, especially when addressing patterns that have been in place for a long time, but you will not be left to navigate that on your own.
My goal is to help you develop a clearer understanding of yourself, improve how you respond to stress and relationships, and build a sense of control that carries into your day to day life.
